I have been using them for twenty years, I have two fillings in my adult teeth and I am "likely to have a couple more" even though I brush my teeth everyday - I "should floss". One of my canines did not develop properly and I still have a milk tooth with the canine having grown into the jaw which can be seen on the x-rays, my teeth are not perfectly straight and one of the incisors slightly overlaps - I have had an orthodontic gum shield for rugby from someone else. My friend from a "poorer" background than me had one of his friends who worked for the Office of Fair Trading as a civil servant say his teeth were better than mine at the pub, he has a supernumerary tooth. Some of the dentists here agree that growing a new tooth is possible but would be the most expensive treatment available whereas others think that a filling is permanent and the tooth will never grow back from it, or grow back from being chipped in an accident. I have a physics degree and from my understanding of physics it is physically possible for a tooth to grow back correctly. The latest reported NHS treatment on the BBC which will be standardised eventually will be for teeth to be grown back "appearing natural" from cavities after treatment. I do not like their approach to hygiene as I have seen a woman with her gums pushed all the way back and thought it was vulgar and that is what their hygienist tried to do to me next time she would use the ultrasonic device. Overall I have visited these guys at the rate of about once per year on top of seeing some others in other places. They are a "value" practice and only see NHS patients who are under 19. I had expected to have "the best teeth ever" but they have model teeth with several amalgam fillings in them on display.
